At our last pedi appointment, our dr told us that at 6 months the immunity that I've passed on from breast feeding is starting to dwindle. Therefore, she'll get more colds, etc. and not too worry....

I think the benefit is that BM is the PERFECT food!! And it is free!!!!! I am gonna keep BFing Camille until I feel like it is the right time to stop!! It still has health benefits even though...

You've been given great advice above! You do what YOU feels right for YOU and YOUR baby! Breastfeeding past 6 months has a lot of great benefits that go far beyond the immunity benefits!

I hope you can nurse as long as you want! Like pp said, bf has a whole lot more benefits than just the immunity. Way to go on making it 6 months.
